The development of digital technology encourages Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adjust their business processes, work patterns, and strategies in responding to an increasingly dynamic business environment. Under these conditions, the success of digital transformation is determined not only by the adoption of technology but also by an organization’s ability to accept and manage change. This study aims to analyze the role of adaptive organizational culture in building change readiness and organizational agility among MSMEs in the digital era. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method involving 20 relevant scientific sources published between 1993 and 2025. The data were analyzed descriptively through the processes of identification, categorization, comparison, and synthesis of findings from previous studies. The results indicate that an organizational culture that promotes learning, innovation, communication, collaboration, and openness to change can serve as a foundation for developing organizational readiness to face digitalization. This readiness subsequently supports MSMEs’ ability to adapt to and respond to changes rapidly and flexibly through organizational agility. Therefore, digital transformation in MSMEs should be viewed as an organizational change process involving cultural aspects, human resources, change readiness, and adaptive capabilities, rather than merely as the implementation of technology. In practical terms, MSMEs need to develop an open work culture, enhance digital competencies, strengthen knowledge sharing, and adopt technology gradually according to their business needs and capabilities.
